
Professor Stan MetcalfeHe is Stanley Jevons Professor of Political Economy and Cobden Lecturer at the University of Manchester. During his career he has lectured at the Universities of Manchester and Liverpool. He has been actively involved in the development of science and technology policy in the UK, being a member first of ACARD and subsequently ACOST. He was until recently a member of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission. His research interests are currently focused upon evolutionary economics and the modelling of evolutionary processes in relation to innovation, competition and economic growth.
