To survey manufacturing and service firms, to examine how they source external knowledge and technologies (not only R&D, but other technical and market related forms of knowledge) to be used in innovation activity.
The survey would complement existing CRIC Research on outsourcing and DIPs, by seeking to gain specific statistical support to research already undertaken and provide findings relevant to the academic community as well as industrial practitioners.
The survey would be undertaken in August and September 2004 with data analysis from October through to November 2004.
