Programme

The workshop will focus on the forces through which market processes are instituted and the mechanisms through which markets work. Its objective is to gain a deeper understanding of the dynamic processes that shape the emergence and growth of new markets, their framing by broader regulatory forces, and the functions and functioning of markets in modern capitalism. The outcomes of the discussion will help to shape the research programme for the second workshop of the series, which is expected to take place at CRIC on the 7-8th December 2006.
