Play Dead: Planescape Torment, Horror and RPG's

What can flesh, trauma, injury or death mean in a text where characters are constantly being resurrected ? What are we scared of ? Few of horror's generic attributes translate comfortably from other media, to computer games. This paper aims to examine aspects of the grotesque; of flesh, mutation, cannibalism and fantasy in in the horror RPG, Planescape Torment.
